Increasing Student Motivation Guide - How To Increase student motivation techniques PART 1
I am not going to tell you University research studies on how to motivate students, what I want to tell you is how to motivate students from the perspective of one of them, I was a student not long ago and know how they react at school and the classroom.
Usually in school, teachers and directors use external incentives to generate motivation in students. For example, if the student does not study he will get a low test score, if the student has a high grade he is rewarded with extra points or something else, if the student expose the best investigation he will exempt the exam. Those are external motivators and work well in the short term in a percentage of the students.
However, usually most students are not going to get really motivated just by incentives and rewards and if they do, they will not want to learn anymore after the reward has been given. So the best way to maintain a student motivated is with internal motivation, that means that the motivation has to come from the inside out, he needs to have a genuine interest in the topic, but how to you achieve this?
Is not easy to create internal motivation in all students but you can apply some exercises and techniques to help you.

Increasing Student Motivation Guide - How To Increase Your Child/student Motivation to Learn PART 2
WELCOME TO ANOTHER INTEREST PART .We shall contunue from where we stop on thursday.Happy reading...
For example, let’s say your son loves climbing trees. You can either sit around and watch him climb trees, or you can take that excitement and turn it into a desire for learning by showing him a book about tree houses, and then helping him build one. You can take him to the hardware store to buy the parts, therefore helping him to learn about tools, nails, hardware, and everything else it takes to build a tree house.
Building the tree house together can help your son learn numerous things—how to plan ahead, how to locate items in a hardware store, how to decide the best place to put the tree house, how to design and build it, how to make it safe and sturdy, and best of all, you get to help him enjoy the learning. You can take virtually any activity your child loves to do and turn it into an opportunity for academic learning, and make him want to learn even more.
Encouraging and motivating your child to learn must be handled with care, though, or you risk going overboard.

Increasing Student Motivation Guide - How To Increase Your Child/student Motivation to Learn PART 1
Parents in today’s society are faced with ever-increasing challenges when it comes to their children wanting to study and learn. Because of the myriad numbers of outside distractions available to children, parents often complain that their children simply aren’t motivated to learn—they want to spend their time indulging in entertainment and enjoyable pursuits rather than learning. But parents who care about motivating their children to want to learn are able to show their children that learning in itself can be an enjoyable pursuit. Every child is inherently motivated to learn. It’s part of our biological makeup to learn, like all animals on Earth, because we must learn to survive and thrive. We just have to find the key to that motivation and keep it alive.
One of the best ways to unearth your child’s motivation to learn is to watch when she is playing with friends or having fun on her own. What kinds of things does she like to do? What things interest her or make her pay attention? Those are the things that you can use to motivate her to want to learn more. The key lies in taking the excitement and wonder she exhibits when he’s having a good time, and then insert that excitement into academic learning. It may sound difficult, but it’s not. Read more...

Student Motivation Guide - Motivating Young Students/Children to Learn English
Young children/students are often eager, almost too eager. The problem arises when they are eager to do things other than what you’re trying to teach them. Here are five tips to keep them interested in class and motivated to do what you want them to do:
Tip #1: Keep Yourself Motivated.
Think back to when you were a child. If your teacher was not enthusiastic about what he or she had scheduled for class that day, how did you feel about it? It’s the same with young children today. If you, the teacher and often a role model for younger children, think this is a neat activity, then they will too!
Tip #2: Encourage.
Young kids thrive on praise and positive attention from the adults in their lives. If you want them to like you and be motivated in your class, you often just need to give them a lot of positive attention.
Tip #3: Play Games
Children learn through play. Oftentimes they don’t even realize they are learning if they are enjoying the game. Just think, children could sit there and fill out worksheet after worksheet or they could play an English game and learn the same concepts. Which would you rather do?
When I say English games I’m talking about games that are specifically designed to teach language and vocabulary. For example, you could turn using vehicle vocabulary into a relay game where children need to pick a card with a word and then run to a box of vehicles (or a stack of pictures of vehicles) and bring the correct one his or her classmates.
Here is another example: If you might normally give them a worksheet to write the correct verb next to the picture illustrating the action, have them instead practice their verbs by doing the action for the word you say or the word on a card that you hold up. Likewise, you could do the action and have them write down the word. You may access free samples of fun classroom games in the resource box below.
When you play games, you can use points and competition as a motivator, but not for kids under six who may find the competition too stressful. For them, just playing the game is motivating enough. You can also sometimes award extra credit, but use it sparingly so that it remains "extra" and a special reward. Also if you use it too much, children can have so much extra credit that it sways the actual grades too much.

Student Motivation Guide - Lack of Motivation in Students PART 2
CONTINUE FROM WHERE WE STOP ....LET'S READ ON TODAY
Academic Pressures
It is a fact that every student is not of the same aptitude and mental ability as another. Every one takes time to learn and perform. While many students are able to tackle the tough challenges of academic pressures and perform well in the exams, others are unable to handle the pressure. Constant poor performance lowers the self confidence of the student and the student will feel lost in the crowd of brilliant students. Parents and teachers should ensure that every student takes a career in the field that motivates him/her to give total dedication. Besides academics, sports and other disciplines must also be encouraged.
Early Adolescence
Early adolescence is a phase between elementary school and high school. In this phase, there is a heightened awareness among the adolescent about his studies and responsibilities. Besides these, behavioral changes in this phase lead to the formation of new relationships with parents, friends and teachers. The period between 10 to 14 years is marked by all-round growth and an entry into puberty. The students become highly sensitive and form new ideas about their values of individualism and identity. If a student is demotivated in this phase, he/she may fall in the trap of negativity for the coming years of life.
Disinterested Teachers
Often, teachers are unable to convey their expectations to the students and this leads to a communication gap between them. Also, many teachers have the habit of constantly dominating the thought process of students instead of encouraging curiosity and giving students the freedom to express their thoughts and feelings to the teachers. Such attitudes from teachers can cause lack of motivation in students.
Increase Student Motivation: Motivation Tips for Students
Nothing can be a better motivation for college students than their teachers and parents. Depression symptoms and other problems must not be ignored and the matter must be discussed with the student with full care and love. If the student feels secure sharing his/her views with elders, then the problem can be resolved easily. Schools should organize motivation activities for students, like games, sports and competitions, which are essential for the holistic personality development of the student.
It is a fact that a student who is not performing good in studies may perform really well in some sports. Let the students explore their hidden talents. The teachers can also put motivation quotes for students on notice boards, school magazines and even give the students a project in which they are expected to collect various motivational quotes. Words have power and they can transform a student and make him eager to learn.
